The Athy Heritage Centre- Shackleton Museum is dedicated to Sir Ernest Shackleton. Ria Olivier visit this museum as their was a South African as part of the expedition on the Endurance. There is not that much information available on South Africa's Involvement but for any researcher studying early Antarctic Explorers will find a lot of information related to the humanities and social sciences at this institution. At the stage of the visit there was going to be renovations of the museum |
